Dr. Dongho “Damian” Gwak is a board-certified psychiatrist in adult, child, and adolescent psychiatry. He’s known for offering a gentle, thoughtful environment with safety and respect at the foundation. Inspired by the power of compassion—its ability to heal and change a child’s life trajectory—he’s committed to helping youth overcome mental health challenges. Dr. Gwak earned his BS from Rice University and his MD from the Texas A&M School of Medicine. He then completed a psychiatric residency in adult psychiatry at Rush University Medical Center and a child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at the Northwestern-affiliated Lurie Children's Hospital.

While experienced in a variety of mental health conditions, Dr. Gwak specializes in anxiety, ADHD, OCD, autism spectrum disorders, and depression. He values collaborative, family-centered, culturally sensitive, and evidence-based care and offers both medication management and psychotherapy. He enjoys working with clients and families from diverse backgrounds. He is fluent in English and proficient in Korean.
