Featured Conversation:
Mindy Wilkerson, LCSW, recently joined Brandon Gimbel, M.D., to discuss
dialectics, emotion regulation, and what mindfulness actually looks like in real life.
In this highlight clip, she and Dr. Gimbel explore how DBT helps people move from
automatic stories to grounded awareness—and why, as Mindy puts it,
“We can’t do better until we know better.”

Mindy Wilkerson is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with extensive experience in individual, family, group, and intensive outpatient therapy for both adolescents and adults. She brings warmth, depth, and a deep respect for each client’s unique story, offering exclusively remote therapy at this time.
While trained as a generalist, Mindy specializes in trauma, anxiety, depression, identity development, body image and self-esteem, life transitions, family dynamics, and relationship difficulties. She draws from a broad range of therapeutic modalities—including Internal Family Systems (IFS), DBT, CBT, emotion-focused therapy, trauma-informed and body-based approaches, mindfulness, and depth-oriented work.
At the heart of Mindy’s approach is the belief that healing happens in relationship. She engages clients with compassion, curiosity, and honesty, creating a safe and authentic space where meaningful transformation can take place. Her work is grounded in the idea that through connection and understanding, we can move from pain to freedom—and toward a more joyful and purpose-driven life.
